Living The Compass
A Connected Life is a Resilient Life
How do you build a life that supports you, not just a life you can manage?
Life is busy.
There's always something that needs sorting, someone who needs you, a problem to solve or a fire to put out. And when life gets full, it's easy to focus on whatever is shouting loudest.
Work needs attention. A relationship needs attention. Your health, the house, the children, your money.
You deal with the immediate thing and move on to the next. But what about the bigger picture?
Are you consciously creating a life that supports you, or are you simply keeping everything going?
You don't have to wait until something falls apart to give it your attention.
Living the Compass is a 10-week journey to step back from the day-to-day and look at your life as a whole. Not because every area needs fixing, and not because your life should be perfectly balanced. But because the different parts of your life affect and support one another, and when you tend to the whole picture you build a life with more resilience, connection and choice.

A connected life is a resilient life
I don't believe a well-lived life means having everything neatly balanced all the time.
There will be seasons when work takes more of you, seasons when your relationships need more attention, times when your health changes, your children grow or something unexpected knocks you sideways. That's life.
Resilience isn't about making sure nothing ever goes wrong. It's about having enough strength, connection and support across your life that when one area gets rocked, the whole thing doesn't have to come down with it.
If work becomes stressful, you still have your relationships, nature, health, practices and the things that give your life meaning. If a relationship changes, you still know who you are and where you're going. If your health changes, your sense of worth isn't dependent on what you can produce. If life asks you to change direction, you have enough self-awareness and connection to recognise what matters now.
The Compass helps you build that kind of life.
Stop firefighting. Start looking at the whole picture.
The Life Compass gives you a way to tune in to the different areas of your life, ask the deeper questions you don't normally have time for, and give each area some attention. Because sometimes the things that aren't urgent are still important.
You might be doing brilliantly at work while your relationships are being neglected.
You might be looking after everyone else while your own wellbeing has slipped down the list.
You might have a clear sense of purpose but no practical structure for bringing it into everyday life.
You might have created a life that works on paper, and realise parts of it belong to an older version of you.
The Compass helps you see all of this, not as a list of things you're failing at, but as a picture of the life you're actually living.
We'll work through eight interconnected areas:
1. Vision & Purpose
Where are you going? What matters to you? What are you moving towards?
2. Personal Practice & Connection to Nature
How well do you know yourself? What practices keep you connected, grounded and aware? How does nature nourish you?
3. Emotional Wellbeing
What are you feeling? What patterns keep repeating? What emotions, needs or shadows are asking to be understood?
4. Human Relationships
Who are your people? How are you relating? Where do you feel connected, and where might old patterns be playing out?
5. Health & Vitality
How are you caring for your body and your energy? What actually helps you feel alive?
6. Environment & Belonging
Do your home and surroundings reflect and support who you're becoming? How connected do you feel to the places and community around you?
7. Learning & Growth
What keeps you curious and alive? What feeds your mind, and what's your plan for it?
8. Wealth & Contribution
How are you using your time and energy? What are you creating or contributing, and where does abundance already come to you?
These aren't eight separate boxes. They're a living system, and what happens in one area affects the others.
And then we go deeper
The Compass isn't just about what's happening on the surface. We'll also look at the beliefs and assumptions underneath your choices, because sometimes what looks like a practical problem is actually an old belief running the show.
I should be doing more.
I have to keep everyone happy.
This is just how life is.
I can't change that now.
I need to be sensible.
Other people need me more than I need myself.
Some of these beliefs may have served you once. Some may still be true. Some may belong to an older version of you.
This is a chance to unpick the old from the new, and to notice patterns you can't see when you're inside them. You'll see where your choices are genuinely yours, and where they've been shaped by conditioning, fear, habit or expectations you inherited along the way.
That's where this becomes more than a life audit. It's about becoming more aware of the life you're creating, and the person creating it.
You don't just reflect. You implement.
This isn't reflection for reflection's sake. Over the twelve weeks you'll identify what needs attention, get clear on what matters and begin making changes: small ones where small changes are enough, bigger decisions where something genuinely needs to shift.
The aim isn't to leave with a beautiful collection of insights you never use. It's to know what you're doing differently when the course is over.
Throughout, you'll create your own Life Compass Blueprint, a practical document you can return to again and again. It holds what you've discovered about yourself, what matters to you, what you want to strengthen, what you're ready to leave behind and where you're heading next.
It isn't a rigid five-year plan. It's a reference point, a way of coming back to yourself when life gets noisy. A way of asking:
Is the life I'm living still aligned with what matters to me?
What needs attention now?
What season am I in?
Where do I want to put my energy?
You can come back to it months or years after the course has finished, and use it to navigate whatever comes next.
Why do this live?
Because ten weeks of practice together gives you something a workbook alone can't: dedicated time to think about your life, rather than squeezing it in between everything else.
I'll guide you through the Compass, ask the questions that help you see beneath the obvious answers, challenge you when you're avoiding something and help you turn insight into action. You'll do it alongside other people who are taking the time to look at their own lives, which brings perspective and accountability you don't get on your own.
And if you miss a session, you'll receive the recording that week, so you can catch up in your own time.
You don't have to arrive with a plan. You don't have to know exactly what's wrong. You don't even have to be in crisis. You just need to be willing to look honestly at the life you're living and decide what you want to do with it.
This is for you if…
You're constantly dealing with what's urgent and rarely get time to look at the bigger picture.
Life is generally okay, but you know some areas aren't getting the attention they deserve.
You're at a point of transition and want to get clear about what's next.
You've changed, but parts of your life haven't quite caught up.
You want to understand yourself more deeply, including the beliefs and patterns that shape your choices.
You want a clearer sense of direction, and to make meaningful changes rather than endlessly thinking about them.
You want something practical to return to when life changes again.
You don't need to throw everything away and start again. Sometimes what you need is the time, perspective and framework to see what you've already built, understand what's no longer serving you, strengthen what's supporting you and choose what comes next.

About Leona
I've spent more than 25 years supporting people through change. I bring together coaching, time in nature, and relational and ceremonial practice, so we look at your everyday life and at what's underneath it. The models behind that are the Eight Shields, ecopsychology, Cultural Emergence and ceremonial leadership, but you don't need to know any of them to do this work. They shape how I listen and the questions I ask.
I've developed the Life Compass over years of coaching and nature connection, and by working alongside people going through change. I don't believe there's one blueprint for a good life. There's your life, and the Compass gives you a way to understand it, shape it and keep coming back to what matters.
I lead this work because I live it too. I'm always asking the same questions:
What matters now?
What am I creating?
What needs my attention?
What am I ready to let go of?
And what would it look like to live that, rather than just know it?
