Autumn Equinox Gathering

from £5.00
Limit 10 per order

Saturday 26 September | 12–4pm | Stubbs Pond, Mytholmroyd

Contribution; Standard - £15, Supported - £5, Abundant - £25, Child- Free

The Equinox is a moment of balance. Day and night meet for a while before the balance tips towards the darkness of winter.

There is something beautiful in using this natural turning point as an invitation to pause and take stock. The natural state of a human being is one of balance between head, heart, body and spirit, but in the world we live in today, staying connected and balanced takes conscious tending. We need to find our way back, again and again.

So we’ll gather on the land and make some space to do just that.

Together we’ll sit in circle, sing, move, play, share, eat, listen, create and connect with one another and with the beautiful landscape around Stubbs Pond. There will be time around the fire, opportunities for crafting and creating together, and space to reflect on what we want to release, nurture and carry forwards.

We’ll weave between head, heart and hands: time to think and reflect, time to feel and connect, and time to make, move, sing and create.

There will be both guided and more informal parts to the gathering, and everything is optional.

This is a chance to slow down and notice what the year so far has brought:

What have you learnt this year that will carry you forwards?

What are you ready to compost with the leaves of autumn?

What do you want to tend and nurture to sustain you through the winter ahead?

We’ll provide some simple crafts and creative activities to enjoy together.

There will be plenty of space for laughter, conversation, reflection, stillness and just being together.

Families and people of all ages are warmly welcome. Come on your own, bring friends or come as a family.

Soup and bread will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring something to share if it’s easy for you.

We’ll be held by the beautiful Stubbs Pond, with shelter available if the weather requires it.

The gathering will be led by Leona Johnson and Rachel Taylor, supported by an amazing community of excellent humans.

Come and mark the turning of the season with us.
